Robert Downey Jr and Tobey Maguire, the most important actors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, have sent fans into frenzy with a surprise outing.
Downey has been playing the Iron Man in the MCU since its inception. Meanwhile, Maguire played the first Spider-Man in Marvel before Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland.
On June 23, the duo created a stir online after they were spotted walking together in Los Angeles.
Robert and Tobey were snapped casually walking on the streets of L.A, dressed in comfy outfits.
The move came a few months prior to the release of Avengers: Doomsday and it has sparked buzz among the fans, who are now thinking that they might end up having a face off in the upcoming action sci-fi.
They are now hoping to see a Spider-Man and Doctor Doom on screen collaboration.
One of the fan pages on X by the name No Context Tobey Maguire posted pictures of the two and wrote, “Can’t wait to see these two interact in Doomsday.”
Meanwhile, one of the curious MCU fans commented, “I ain’t seeing any suits, or is it not the friendly neighbourhood Spiderman?”
Avengers: Doomsday is going to feature the Due Date actor as Victor Von Doom.
Meanwhile, there are also rumours claiming that Maguire’s Spider-Man will have an important role in the film and his character might end up getting killed by Doom.
Directed by Russo brother, Avengers: Doomsday is coming out in theatres on December 18.
