Rohit is sure to play 2027 ODI World Cup
Now dismissing these rumors outright, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia said, “Rohit Sharma has been playing brilliantly in all the matches. What more do you want? In the last match itself, he has scored 130-140 runs. Then why are such speculations being made? I do not want to give further fuel to those spreading these rumours.” With this statement of the BCCI Secretary, the Board has made it clear that Rohit Sharma is still a key part of the plans of the Indian ODI team and his chances of playing the 2027 ODI World Cup remain strong.

BCCI will take care of the schedule for the comfort of players
The BCCI Secretary also said that in the next FTP (Future Tours Programme), we will do some things so that the schedule of the programs is fixed in such a way that our players can get proper rest, they can adapt to the environment there and can play some practice matches before any big series in the host countries. Let us tell you that for some time, while announcing Team India, those players who are not completely fit and then get dropped just before or in the middle of the series, have been included in the squad, due to which questions were being raised on the selectors as well. Was seen here also during the recent Sri Lanka tour.
Team India has also been announced for the 3 test match series against Afghanistan, in which 3 players have been selected subject to fitness, that is, they will play only if they are available again.
