Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 : Royal Enfield, which is considered to be a ride of thrill and speed, is going to launch its new motorcycle Himalayan 440 on September 4 in Leh, Ladakh. It is expected that the brand will start pre-booking of its new adventure bike in our market in the coming few days.

It can be placed between Scram 440 and Himalayan 450 in RE's portfolio in India. It will replace the Himalayan 411, which was discontinued in late 2023. The Himalayan 440 is expected to be priced around Rs 2.50-2.70 lakh (ex-showroom). This adventure motorcycle, codenamed D4G, will use the same platform and engine as the Scram 440, but its styling will be inspired by the Himalayan 411.
engine
It is expected to get the same 443cc single-cylinder engine that comes in the Scram 440. This engine gives power of about 25 bhp and torque of 34 Nm. It is provided with a 6-speed gearbox.
With the addition of sixth gear, it will become easier to ride the bike on the highway. This will also remove the complaint of lack of top speed while covering long distances in the old Himalayan 411.
Premium colors and modern graphics
Its overall design will be very similar to the original Himalayan 411, but it will have premium colors and modern graphics. The upcoming adventure bike is also expected to get the same LED headlamp setup as seen in RE's latest motorcycles. It will have higher suspension travel and will ride on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels shod with tubed dual-purpose tyres.
