Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Ready For Launch: Spied In Production Colours

Royal Enfield has been extensively working on its flagship adventure tourer, the Himalayan 750, for a very long time. Over the last one year, we have seen multiple test mule and render images of the motorcycle on the internet. It looks like Royal Enfield is almost ready with the production version. A new set of spy pictures that have surfaced online reveal the colours of the production-spec Himalayan 750.

The images have been shared by NDTV Automate on its Instagram page. In the pictures, we see a couple of Himalayan 750 motorcycles with production-spec paint jobs on the side of the road. The exact location from where the picture was clicked is not known, but it looks somewhere in the mountains.

It is possible that Royal Enfield was doing the final rounds of testing or was simply riding to the mountains to shoot a TVC for the upcoming motorcycle. In the pictures, we see four versions of the Himalayan 750. One of the versions is equipped with a five-twin-spoke alloy wheel, while the other three motorcycles are riding on tubeless wire-spoke rims.

One of the motorcycles with alloy wheels is finished in red, black, and yellow accents on the shrouds. The other Himalayan 750 is finished in a matte grey shade. There is another 750 with spokes in the same matte grey shade, while the fourth motorcycle is finished in an off-white shade with triple-shaded strips on the tank and shroud.

The motorcycles look production-ready. Royal Enfield had recently showcased the Himalayan 750 in Brazil, and during the showcase, we got to know a few more details about the motorcycle. The motorcycle is based on a new platform and engine. It will use an air-oil-cooled 750cc twin-cylinder engine. While the official numbers are not out, this engine is expected to generate around 55 PS and 65 Nm of torque. It will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Apart from this, the Himalayan 750 will come loaded with features like cruise control, ride-by-wire, dual-channel ABS, and traction control. The motorcycle showcased a single-pod digital instrument cluster with a TFT display. The motorcycle is also expected to get Bluetooth connectivity, which would help with the Tripper navigation features and other notifications.

The motorcycle’s design looks like a mix of the current Himalayan 450 and the original Himalayan 411. It will get a tall design that suits the adventure tourer character of the bike. At the front, the motorcycle comes with a round headlamp with LED lights in it. There will be a Royal Enfield logo in the centre of the light too. The motorcycle will come with split seats and a Himalayan 450-like integrated tail lamp and turn indicator setup.

The Himalayan 750 will come with dual disc brakes at the front, as seen in the pictures, and a single disc at the back. The motorcycle is likely to be offered with 19-inch wheels at the front and 17-inch wheels at the rear. We also expect to see long-travel USD forks with preload and compression adjustability. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 is expected to be launched by November this year.
