Lucknow:The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has announced two big decisions to strengthen the education system as well as for the welfare of teachers and students. After the government and aided schools of the state, now teachers of private (non-funded) schools are also being brought under the ambit of the Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme. With this step of the government, more than 3 lakh teachers teaching in about 35 thousand private schools and their families will be able to get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh annually. Along with this, preparations are also in the final stage to send an amount of Rs 1200-1200 directly to the accounts of 10 lakh students of council schools through DBT to their parents for purchasing uniforms, bags and stationery.

Basic Education Director Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi has issued instructions to all the District Basic Education Officers of the state to start the facility of cashless health care.
To avail the benefits of the scheme, teachers will have to register on the official portal. During this, teachers will have to enter their and their dependents' details as per identity card and official documents.
Cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh
A three-tier system has been created to check the authenticity of the applications received on the portal. First of all, the headmaster of the school will verify that the teachers are posted as per rules and are providing continuous service. After this the application will be sent to the concerned Block Education Officer (BEO). After receiving the recommendation of BEO, the verification process will be completed after getting the final approval from the District Basic Education Officer (BSA) level. If a teacher leaves the job, the school administration will have to be informed immediately so that the eligibility for the scheme can be cancelled. With this step of the government, more than 3 lakh teachers teaching in about 35 thousand private schools and their families will be able to get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh annually.
DBT amount will reach directly into the accounts of 10 lakh children
Along with the health safety of teachers, the state government is also taking care of the basic needs of the children studying in council schools. Rs 1200 each will be transferred to about 10 lakh students of primary and upper primary schools to purchase uniforms, shoes-socks, bags and stationery. This amount will be sent directly to the bank accounts of the parents.
It is noteworthy that out of 1.35 crore students registered in the council schools of the state, this amount has already been given to about 1.10 crore children. Now the data of the newly enrolled children and the remaining 10 lakh children left out due to technical reasons has been prepared. The work of linking the bank accounts of the remaining 15 lakh students with Aadhaar is also going on at a fast pace, so that they can also get this amount soon after verification.
