Patna: On the occasion of International Hand Hygiene Day, an awareness program was organized at Government Urdu Middle School, Narkat Ghat, Gulzarbagh, Patna. During this, the graduate science teacher of the school, Surya Kant Gupta, informed the students about the correct methods of hand washing and also made them practice it by cleaning their hands as per the rules.

Gupta said that washing hands is a basic and very important habit. By washing hands properly, we can avoid bacteria, viruses and other harmful microorganisms and live a healthy life.

The program was started by Principal S. Ibtesham Hussain Kashif did it. Teacher Sunita Kumari said that it is possible to prevent many diseases through regular hand cleaning. Amit Kumar informed that May 5 is celebrated as World Hand Hygiene Day by the World Health Organization.

Vidya Jha highlighted the important role of hand hygiene in prevention of infection. At the same time, Pranaya Kumari made the children aware of the benefits of hand washing. Teachers Sharafuddin Noori, Aziz Fatima along with the school’s Bal Sansad Prime Minister Alisha Parveen and Deputy Prime Minister Aliya Parveen played an active role in making the program successful.
