SA vs AUS ODI Series: South Africa on Monday (September 7) announced its 16-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia. This series between the two teams will be played from 24th to 30th September and during this period there will be a total of three ODI matches.
The biggest news in this team has been the return of young fast bowler Gerald Coetzee. 25-year-old Coetzee played his last ODI for South Africa during the 2023 ODI World Cup. After this, he was not a part of the ODI team for a long time, but now he has been included in the team again for the series against Australia.
Coetzee’s return will also be important because South Africa’s star fast bowler Kagiso Rabada is out of this series due to injury. In such a situation, the team management has expressed confidence in Coetzee to strengthen the fast bowling attack. Temba Bavuma will captain South Africa in all three matches. At the same time, experienced wicketkeeper batsman Quinton de Kock and explosive batsman David Miller have also returned to the team.
