Sabahat Bukhari reveals decades-long separation from daughter

Pakistani actress Sabahat Bukhari has opened up about one of the most painful experiences of her personal life, revealing that she was separated from her daughter shortly after the end of her first marriage.

The actress became emotional while recalling how her first child was taken away from her when the girl was still an infant. Sabahat said she had been married in Lahore and welcomed a daughter during her first marriage.

According to the actress, her relationship ended in divorce, after which her former husband’s family took custody of the child. Sabahat said she tried to seek legal help and made efforts to meet her daughter, but she was repeatedly prevented from doing so.

She further revealed that the family eventually moved to another location, making it difficult for her to trace her child. Sabahat said her former husband later told their daughter that her mother had died.

For decades, the actress remained separated from her daughter without knowing where she was or being able to maintain contact with her.

Sabahat said that after her former husband died around three decades later, the family finally told her daughter about her biological mother. The daughter subsequently found Sabahat through social media, allowing the two to reconnect after years apart.

The actress’s emotional account has sparked a strong response online, with many viewers expressing sympathy for the pain she endured and describing the decades-long separation as deeply heartbreaking.

Sabahat’s revelation has also shed light on the lasting emotional impact that family separation can have, particularly when a parent is unable to maintain contact with their child for years.
