Sachin Tendulkar’s arrival in Bastar is a strong identity of the changing Bastar: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has described the arrival of cricketer Sachin Tendulkar in Chhindanar village, a remote forest area in Dantewada district, as changing the strong identity of Bastar. He expressed confidence that such initiatives will give new direction to the youth of Bastar and inspire them to realize their dreams.
The Chief Minister said that the ‘Maidan Cup Campaign’ run by Sachin Tendulkar Foundation and Mandeshi Foundation is a visionary initiative towards the development of sports infrastructure. This effort to provide playgrounds and better facilities to children, especially in tribal areas, will play an important role in the all-round development of children.
It is noteworthy that Sachin Tendulkar yesterday inaugurated the multi sports ground built by the foundation in Chhindnar village of Dantewada district. Similar playgrounds are being developed in fifty villages of the region by Sachin Tendulkar and Mandeshi Foundation, where sports disciplines like football and kabaddi along with cricket will be promoted.
