Sai Pallavi expressed gratitude on getting the role of Sita in ‘Ramayana’, said, ‘got it as a blessing…’

These days the team of the film ‘Ramayan’ is in Delhi for the trailer launch. In an event related to this, ‘Pratham Sankalp’, actress Sai Pallavi told how she sees getting the role of Sita.

Sai Pallavi spoke openly about her experience of playing the character of Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Sai Pallavi says that she has played this role with prayer, meditation and a concentrated mind. She believes that playing the character of Sita was completely different from any character she had played before.

It is not easy to play the role of a goddess

When asked about playing the role of Sita at the event, Sai said, ‘It is not easy for actors to get such roles, because playing the role of a goddess is not easy. For this, an entire team has to put their heart and soul into making it the best. He said that he never saw this role as an achievement achieved through planning or ambition. Rather, they believe that it came as a blessing to them.

Sai said, “I don’t think I chose to play Sita Maa. I was blessed to play this role. It’s not something you can run after or write down and decide that this is how I want to play it. I used to sit and meditate and say, Sita Maa, you act through me. Whatever comes out through me is your intention for the film.” She also said that during this time she tried to keep herself pure in every way, so that she could do justice to the character.

When will Ramayana be released?

Ramayana will be released as a film in two parts. The first part will hit the theaters during Diwali 2026, while the second part will release in theaters during Diwali 2027. Apart from Sai Pallavi, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram and Ravi Dubey in the role of Laxman. Kannada actor Yash will be seen in the role of Ravana, while Sunny Deol will play the role of Hanuman. The cast also includes Rakul Preet Singh in the role of Surpanakha, Lara Dutta in the role of Kaikeyi and Kajal Aggarwal in the role of Mandodari. Ramayan is backed by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios, VFX company DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.
