Salman Khan makes surprising confession about  his spending habits

Salman Khan has shared an interesting detail from the past as he recalled buying an expensive present for his father Salim Khan following his big break in the film industry.

The Dabangg star, widely known for his unmatched aura in Bollywood, revealed how he once didn’t have enough money to buy a gift for his father.

In an exclusive interview with Variety IndiaSalman spoke at length about taking a loan to buy a Rolex worth a whopping Rs. 9 lacs for the veteran writer.

He told the outlet, “The first expensive thing I bought was a Rolex watch for my father. When I got the watch, I didn’t have the money for it, but I liked it for my father.” “At that point in time, it cost something like nine lakh rupees. I had four, rest I got as a loan.”

However, he said his father opposed the gesture and questioned his extravagant purchasing habits.

“When I gave it to my dad, he said, ‘You haven’t even started working properly, and you started doing all these things. Do you think of yourself as some king?’” Salman added.

He also explained how the watch eventually found its way back to the Sultan actor years later, after his father passed it on to him.

On professional front, the actor is currently gearing up for Maatrubhumiwhich is slated for release on Eid 2027.
