According to Netanyahu, this bravery of the pilot helped save the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens, on board the plane. He called Captain Smit Machar a true hero and wished him a speedy recovery.

Smit Machar is admitted in Tabuk hospital.

The Indian pilot injured in the attack has been admitted to the hospital in Tabuk city of Saudi Arabia. The Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia said that his condition is currently stable. The embassy said that complete information regarding his health is awaited. Also, Indian officials are in constant touch with his family and are taking information related to his health from Saudi officials.

After this incident in the flight, Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, also praised the bravery of the Israeli passengers on board the plane.
