The news of comedian Samay Raina and actress Medha Shankar’s dating has been much talked about this year. Medha Shankar was recently seen in an episode of India’s Got Latent 2. Varun Dhawan, Nishant Tanwar and Sharon Verma were also part of the panel in this episode. During the episode, magician Kabir Sharma was doing a magic trick. He took Samay Raina’s phone and placed it in one of the three envelopes.
After this, when he got the wrong answer, he started hitting the envelopes with a hammer. Meanwhile, Kabir asked Samay who was his best friend in the panel. Time took the name of Medha Shankar without any hesitation. After this Medha was asked to choose an envelope.
In the next magic trick also Samay chose Medha to receive the gift. She had options like car, MacBook, $1000 and iPhone, but in the end Medha got a hug from the magician. Samay and Varun Dhawan looked surprised at this. Samay jokingly said that this gift was for him and he got the worst thing. However, Medha described that hug as quite good.
How did the discussion of their dating start?
Dating rumors about Samay Raina and Medha Shankar intensified in June this year. Both were seen leaving an event together. After this, both were seen together on some occasions in July also. Recently, after both of them were seen together at the airport, their relationship was discussed on social media. However, Samay and Medha have not publicly confirmed their relationship on these rumours. In such a situation, calling Medha as ‘best friend’ of Samay in the show has definitely become a topic of discussion, but it cannot be considered as a confirmation of dating.

During the show, Raina also joked with Varun Dhawan. He described Varun as the ‘smartest’ among the people present on the panel and attributed this to him being ‘Student of the Year’. At this everyone present there laughed. Time also pulled Varun’s leg regarding his film Border 2.
The show has been in controversies
It is noteworthy that India’s Got Latent was in controversies last year also. There was a lot of controversy on social media regarding the episode featuring Ranveer Allahabadia, Apoorva Makhija, Ashish Chanchlani and Jaspreet Singh. An FIR was registered after an objectionable joke and legal action was also taken. The show was removed from YouTube after the controversy. Now its second season is streaming on Netflix.
