Patna. There has been a controversy over sharing the photo of the family of a victim of street misbehavior in Jamui, Bihar. The victim's family met Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Thursday. Samrat Chaudhary shared the photo of this meeting with his X handle without blurring it. It was deleted after 15 minutes. Now Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav has demanded action. RJD MP Misa Bharti has also raised questions on this post and demanded registration of FIR.

Chief Minister met the victim's family
After meeting Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, the mother of the victim girl said that she is still pained by the incident that happened to her daughter, but is relieved by the action being taken and the assurance received from the government regarding security. The victim's mother said, we came to Patna on the evening of 24th September. Here we met CM Samrat Chaudhary regarding the incident that happened with the daughter. During this he told us that your daughter is my daughter, you should be absolutely relaxed.
Demand of the mother of the victim girl
What happened to the daughter should not happen again to any other girl. The way my daughter was folding her hands in front of all the accused to protect herself during the incident. Begging for her life. She was pleading in front of everyone, similarly criminals should also have fear of the law. They should also plead for their lives in the same way. The accused should have fear of the government.

CM shared photo on social media and then deleted it
After meeting the victim's family, a post was shared from the official In which it was written that 'Met the victim girl of Jamui and her family at the public servant residence. Assured the daughter to move ahead fearlessly and assured the family of speedy justice. The family also expressed satisfaction over the police action. Strictest punishment will be ensured against all the culprits through speedy trial within a month. An unblurred photo of the girl with her mother and family members was shared with this post. However, this post was deleted after about 15 minutes.

After the picture of CM with Padit family surfaced, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav surrounded the Chief Minister. He wrote on They are revealing the identity of the minor victim of Jamui incident by releasing her picture with her family members on their social media handle. Under the POCSO Act, it is mandatory to keep the identity of the minor victim confidential. The sharing of the photograph with the victim's family posed a risk of her identity becoming public.
