A big announcement has been made in the Marathi film industry on the occasion of Maharashtra Day and director Santosh Dawkhare is going to bring the grand historical film ‘Shahaji Raje’ to the audience after ‘Gondhal’. Presented by Davkhar Films, the poster of the film has been released recently and it showcases Shahaji Bhosale’s dashing and regal outlook. The poster itself gives a glimpse of the magnificence of the film and the intensity of battle and history in the battlefield is effectively presented.

As this film will bring a story based on the life of Shahajiraje Bhosle to the big screen for the first time in Marathi cinema, there has been a lot of curiosity among the audience. Shahaji Raje, the father of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, was a mighty, visionary and politically adept personality. Through this film, an attempt will be made to convey the imprint of his bravery, achievements and thoughts to the new generation.
After ‘Gondhal’, Santosh Davkhar is once again coming to the audience with a different and rich subject and the film ‘Shahaji Raje’ is going to be released in 2027. Notably, the film will be released in as many as six languages, including Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, thereby reaching audiences across the country.
Although there is no official announcement about who will play the role of Shahjiraj in the film, there is talk of the entry of a big actor in the southern film industry.
