Sara Khan married Sunil Lahiri Krish Lahiri on 5 December 2025. On the occasion of Bakrid, he shared a video in which he said that Allah has no need of flesh or blood; Rather, Allah sees our taqwa (purity), our intentions and our compassion.

Sara Khan opposed the sacrifice of goats on Bakrid

On the day of Bakrid, Sara Khan shared a video on her Instagram account, in which she emphasized that Eid-ul-Azha is not just about celebrations or rituals, but it is about faith, compassion and devotion. A text overlay appears in the video that reads Eid-ul-Azha is not just a festival of celebrations, clothes, food or customs. It reminds us of the deepest form of faith.

The text further states: The story of Prophet Ibrahim teaches us about complete faith in God, pure intentions, a pure heart and the courage to sacrifice what is dearest to us for the sake of God. Allah has no need of flesh or blood; Instead, Allah looks at our taqwa (purity), our intentions and our compassion.

Further in the video, Sara Khan writes: On this Eid, we must remember that the true essence of Qurbani lies in compassion, charity, gratitude and sharing with the needy. Let us celebrate Eid by being kind, feeding the hungry, protecting the destitute, and striving to be better human beings with a soft heart. Happy Eid. May we sacrifice our ego and attain a pure heart.
