Sasha Pieterse launches Mother Bare productions, sets supernatural adaptation as first project

Actress Sasha Pieterse, known for her role in Pretty Little Liars, has launched a new production company, Mother Bare Productions, marking her entry into film and television development.

According to entertainment industry reports, Pieterse’s company has selected Infernal Affairs, a supernatural book series by bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon, as its first feature film project. The adaptation is being developed with franchise potential, though no official release date or studio partnership has been confirmed.

The story follows Lucian “Luke” Teivel, the son of Lucifer, who is banished to Earth and recruited into a secret supernatural task force investigating crimes that threaten the balance between Heaven and Hell. He works alongside Detective Sorcha O’Malley as they uncover a deeper conspiracy that could ignite a war between realms.

Pieterse is expected to serve as both producer and lead actor, expanding her career into behind-the-scenes creative roles. Mother Bare Productions will focus on developing genre-driven content across film, television, and digital platforms.

Sherrilyn Kenyon is a bestselling author known for her paranormal romance and fantasy novels, which have sold millions of copies worldwide and built a strong international fan base.

Industry observers note that fantasy adaptations remain a strong market trend, particularly projects based on established literary franchises with existing audiences.
At this stage, the Infernal Affairs adaptation is in early development, with scripts, financing, and production planning still underway. Further updates are expected as the project progresses.
