Sashastra Seema Bal has announced recruitment (SSB Recruitment 2026) for the posts of constable (General Duty) under sports quota. The application process for which has started from 9th May 2026. Eligible candidates can apply online till 7th June 2026 on the official website of SSB. You can fill the form by going to. Before this all candidates are advised to read the notification. The total number of vacancies is 404. The vacancy is divided into different sports fields. Both men and women are eligible to apply. General/OBC/EWS candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 100 to fill the form. SC, ST and women candidates have been exempted from fee payment.

Qualification and age limit

• To apply, it is mandatory for the candidates to have 10th pass or equivalent from any recognized board or institute. Apart from this, sports qualification has been determined.
• Candidates who have represented India in international competitions/medal winners in Senior or Junior National Championships/medal winners from Khelo India or Youth University Winter or Para/medal winners in CGFI/representing universities in inter-university tournaments/representing entire state teams in national school competitions can apply.
• Only sporting achievements of the last two years will be considered.
• The prescribed age limit is minimum 18 years and maximum 23 years. Age relaxation will also be given to reserved category candidates.

Selection Process and Salary

The selection process will consist of two stages. In the first phase, priority will be given to international and national medal winners (up to 3rd rank). Candidates for the remaining vacant posts will be selected in the second phase. In which document verification, trial/skill test, physical standard test and medical examination will be organized.

After appointment, candidates will get a monthly salary ranging from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 under Level 3 of the 7th CPC. Apart from this, you will also get the benefit of many other facilities.
