India’s star badminton duo Satviksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty created history by winning the China Masters title for the first time. In the final match, they defeated the Chinese pair of He Ji Ting and Ren Xiang Yu 11-21, 21-13, 21-17. After losing the first set, the Indian pair made a brilliant comeback and won the next two sets to clinch the match. With this win, Satvik and Chirag also forgot the pain of losing in the finals the last two times. Satwik-Chirag had earlier beaten Malaysian duo Noor Mohd Azrin Ayub and Tan Wee Kiong in the semi-finals.
At the start of the final match, the Chinese pair of He Jie Ting and Ren Xiang Yu played an aggressive game. They gave no chance to Satwik and Chirag and easily won the first game 21-11. However, after losing the first match, the Indian pair did not give up. In the second game, Satvik and Chirag played with great coordination and intelligence to put pressure on the opposition team. As a result, they won the second game 21–13 to tie the match 1–1.
The third and final game saw a very exciting encounter between the two teams, but the Indian duo kept their composure in the crucial moments. Satvik and Chirag handled the pressure of the match very well and won the game 21-17. Along with his win, he also won the China Masters trophy. With this win, Satwik and Chirag finally won the title after losing the 2023 and 2025 finals.
