Saudi Arabia has taken a big initiative to overcome the severe food shortage in Gaza. Through ‘Saudi Kitchen’, fresh and hot food is being provided to the people there. The main objective of this humanitarian aid is to support those families who are currently struggling with hunger and lack of resources.

Saudi Arabia launched a central kitchen in Gaza in late February 2026. From Ramadan 1447 AH, 24,000 hot food packets started being distributed daily, with the aim of reaching a total of 36 lakh meals.
This help is mainly in the central part of Gaza. Deir al-Balah and in the south Al-Qarara Is being delivered to areas like. Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, General Supervisor of KSrelief and advisor to the Royal Court, said that the situation in Gaza is very bad. He said that about 90 percent of the people are living in poverty because there is acute shortage of water, food and medicines.
This initiative is not only filling people’s stomachs but also providing work to the local people. About 40 local employees have been employed in this project, which has provided some help to the income of the affected families.
