The government has taken huge action against people living illegally in Saudi Arabia. Within the last one week, security forces have arrested 15,231 people in the operation conducted across the country. This action has been taken on the guidelines of the Saudi Ministry of Interior.

Security forces conducted this raid between June 18 and June 24, 2026. During this period, people who broke different rules were caught, the details of which are given in the table below:
Border infiltration and illegal departure
During the investigation, 1,763 people were caught entering Saudi Arabia illegally. Of these, 55 percent were Ethiopians and 44 percent were Yemeni citizens, while 1 percent were from other countries. Apart from this, 53 people were caught trying to flee the country illegally.
Those who help are also punished
Not only the illegal immigrants, but also those who helped them were not spared. Security forces have arrested 22 people, who are accused of harboring, transporting or employing illegal immigrants.
Deportation and legal action
During this campaign, 11,297 illegal residents were deported from the country. Whereas 15,109 people were sent to their embassies (Diplomatic Missions) so that they could get travel documents made. About 3,618 people were sent to complete other travel arrangements. Currently, 26,407 migrants are going through the legal process, which includes 24,334 men and 2,073 women.
Government warnings and fines
The Interior Ministry has clearly said that those who help illegal immigrants will get strict punishment. Such culprits can be jailed up to 15 years and have to pay a fine up to 10 lakh riyals (SR 1 million). Additionally, the vehicles or property used in the violation can also be confiscated.
