SC youth murdered if he did not press his foot, beaten to death at liquor party

A heart-wrenching news has come out from Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Here, a Scheduled Caste youth was brutally beaten to death for refusing to press his feet. Police have arrested three accused. The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Rajkumar alias Channu.

 

The accused beat Rajkumar with belts and rods. After beating him brutally, the prince was thrown on the road, so that his death could be shown as a road accident. According to the police, the accused had committed the crime after a liquor party. During interrogation, all three accused have confessed to their crime.

Lalitpur Additional Superintendent of Police Kalu Singh said that on Sunday morning the Kotwali police received information about a person lying unconscious on the road behind Varni Jain College and near Gurunanak Dharamshala. Police team reached the spot. He was immediately sent to the hospital. Where the doctors declared the young man dead. He has been identified as 33-year-old Rajkumar alias Channu.

Going to liquor party cost the prince dearly.

When the police started investigating the incident, a liquor party came to light. A party was organized at the residence of Samyak Rajnayak alias Rahi Jain in Civil Lines on Saturday night. Princes coming from Scheduled Castes also participated in it. Apart from him there were also Gajendra Narwariya alias Gajendra Singh Rajput and Gaurav Raikwar.

Asked to press feet, killed on refusal

According to Additional Superintendent of Police Kalu Singh, after getting drunk, the three accused asked Rajkumar to press his feet. However the prince refused. After this, all three beat the prince brutally with rods and belts. He died on the spot. The accused threw the body on the road at night, to make it look like an accident.

Case registered on mother’s complaint

ASP said that the body has been sent for post-mortem. Further legal action is being taken. On the complaint of the mother of the deceased youth, a case has been registered against the accused under sections of murder and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. During interrogation, all three accused have confessed to their crime.
