Scooter Sales: Lakhs of two-wheelers are sold every month in the Indian market, in which scooters have a major share. According to recent sales figures, some scooters were in highest demand last month also. The top-5 list includes scooters from Honda, TVS and Suzuki. Honda Activa at number one
Honda Activa once again remains the first choice of Indian customers. More than 2.06 lakh units were sold last month. However, in the same period last year, around 2.37 lakh units were sold. That means, despite the decline in sales, Activa retained the top position.
giveTVS Jupiter at number one
TVS Jupiter has secured the second position in this list. More than 1.48 lakh units were sold last month. Whereas, in the same period last year, around 1.25 lakh units of Jupiter were sold. In this way, a good increase in scooter sales was recorded on an annual basis.
Suzuki Access at number three
Suzuki Access is also maintaining strong demand in the Indian market. More than 82 thousand units were sold last month. Whereas in the same period last year, the company had sold more than 68 thousand units. With increase in sales, Access made its place in the top-3.
TVS NTorq at number four
TVS NTorq stood fourth in this list. About 38 thousand units were sold last month. In the same period last year, this figure was around 26 thousand units. In this way, sales of NTorq also witnessed an increase on an annual basis.
Suzuki Burgman in top-5
Suzuki Burgman has made its place in the top-5. More than 30 thousand units were sold last month. At the same time, during the same period last year, sales of Burgman were more than 23 thousand units. With the increase in sales, this scooter was successful in joining the top-5.
