‘Scrubs’ revival cast shakeup sees multiple main characters exit before season 2
The Scrubs revival is undergoing a cast shakeup as it prepares for season 2, following the exits of several stars.
The cast shakeup was reported on July 20, as multiple outlets confirmed that Joel Kim Booster will not reprise his role as Dr. Kevin Park in season 2 and X Mayo, who played recurring character Charge Nurse Raymond, is also exiting the revival.
But fans can still breathe a sigh of relief as 16 cast members are set to return to the revival including Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke and Donald Faison.
Among the new interns introduced in season 1, Ava Bunn is the only cast member to earn a promotion to series regular for season 2.

Meanwhile, fellow interns played by Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi and Amanda Morrow will return in recurring roles for season 2.
The revival is also expanding its cast with new additions, including Rachel Bilson as Charlie.
John C. McGinley and Judy Reyes remain part of the Scrubs revival, though both will continue in recurring roles while filming other projects.
The original Scrubswhich ran from 2001 to 2010, centered on the everyday triumphs and challenges of the staff at the fictional Sacred Heart Hospital.
Serving as the long-running comedy’s 10th season, the Scrubs revival made its official debut on February 25, 2026.
