Rajasthan news: Taking major action in a corruption case in Rajasthan, the state government has suspended RAS officer and SDM Kajal Meena posted in Karauli district. This step was taken after his arrest. According to the order, Kajal Meena will be considered suspended from April 16 and during this period her headquarters will be the Personnel Department, Jaipur.
Arrested red handed while taking bribe
Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught Kajal Meena, her reader Dinesh Kumar Saini and senior assistant Praveen Dhakad while taking bribe of Rs 60 thousand. The case pertains to a land dispute in Nadauti town of Karauli, where money was demanded in lieu of issuing a final decree.
Rajashthan news: First demand of Rs 1 lakh, later deal for Rs 50 thousand
According to ACB, the accused had initially demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh, which was later reduced to Rs 50 thousand. After receiving the complaint, the team verified and after reaching Sawai Madhopur, laid a trap in which all three accused got trapped.
Rajasthan news: Rs 4 lakh also recovered in the raid
During the operation, the officers also found Rs 4 lakh in a bag, which is being investigated as suspicious. In this matter, a case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act and investigation has been started.
