Team India bowlers were spot on in the third T20I against the West Indies on Sunday (October 11). The hosts defeated the visitors by 14 runs to take a 2-1 lead, with two games remaining. Chasing 224, the Shai Hope-led team was restricted to 209/7 in 20 overs.
Shimron Hetmyer (43 off 26), Kamil Pooran (42 off 27), Shamar Springer (35* off 11), Sherfane Rutherford (32 off 19) and Quentin Sampson (21 off 15) hit fours and sixes, but the required rate proved too much for them.
Arshdeep Singh (3 wickets) and Naman Dhir (2 wickets) bowled well on a batting-friendly track. Axar Patel and Nitish Kumar Reddy were also among the wickets.
Earlier, Abhishek Sharma took on the Windies bowlers from the start, accumulating 69 runs off 30 balls, with the help of 6 fours and 5 boundaries.
Ishan Kishan (37 off 18). Tilak Varma (28 off 16), Nitish (21 off 14) and Axar Patel (20 off 14) played handy cameos.
Roston Chase, Shamar Joseph and Shamar Springer claimed two wickets each.
