Sebastian Stan, who is a popular Marvel actor, has shared an interesting story behind his casting in Matt Reeves’ The Batman: Part II.
The 44-year-old has been playing Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier in the MCU for quite a few years. He is now set to create a fanbase among the DC enthusiasts.
In a recent interview with the ColliderSebastian unveiled how he got the role the upcoming Batman sequel.
According to him, much of the credit goes to the Oscar-winning show The Apprentice, which helped him getting cast in Batman II.
Stan opened that all these directors know each other like Matt knew Cristian Mungiu and Ali Abbasi and a conversation with them made his casting possible.
He told the publication, “All these directors, they watch each other believe it or not… Matt Reeves knows (Cristian Mungiu) and he knows Ali Abbasi.”
While revealing how bigger a fan Reeves is of ApprenticeStan opened, “that’s how that conversation started. I mean, not in a million years did I think that doing that movie was going to lead to me having a conversation with that director.”
So far, there is no confirmation regarding Stan’s character in the new DC movie.
The Batman Part II will bring back Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader with Colin Farrell reprising his role as Penguin. The film is slated to release in 2028.
