IND vs AFG 2nd ODI: India-Afghanistan match in Ekana, Lucknow, many routes will remain closed

IND vs AFG 2nd ODI Match Update: The second ODI match will be played between India and Afghanistan on June 17 at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, the capital of UP. Both the teams have reached Lucknow for this important match of the three-match series. Due to the possibility of huge crowd and traffic pressure in the city regarding the match, the police administration has implemented a comprehensive diversion plan.

Diversion will be implemented from 9 am

According to the traffic police, traffic diversion will be implemented in the city from 09:00 am, which will continue till the match ends and normal traffic is restored. No-entry timings for heavy and commercial vehicles have also been extended. In case of emergency, ambulance, fire service, school vehicles and hearse will be exempted. There will be a ban on heavy vehicles

Entry of heavy vehicles like buses and trucks from Gosaiganj Tiraha and Amul Dairy Cutting towards Ahimamau will remain closed. These will be diverted towards Vrindavan Yojana and Kisan Path. Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter Shaheed Path even from Uttarethia Underpass.

Traffic coming from Ayodhya Road on Kamta Tiraha and Shaheed Path will not be able to go towards Sultanpur, Rae Bareli and Kanpur Road. These vehicles will be diverted towards alternative routes like Indira Gandhi Pratisthan, Telibagh, Barabirwa and Kisan Path. Vehicles going from Kanpur Road intersection towards Sultanpur, Rae Bareli and Ayodhya will also be sent through a different route.

Ahimamau intersection completely sealed

Ahimamau intersection will remain completely closed from 11:00 am to night during the India and Afghanistan match. U-turn will also be prohibited here and traffic will be allowed only in limited directions. Vehicles going from Kamta to Kanpur will also not be able to use the ramp. Vehicles coming from Sultanpur Road will be diverted to Shaheed Path from Lulu Mall Cutting. Vehicles going to the police headquarters will also be sent through alternative routes.

The traffic police has appealed to the citizens that there will be heavy traffic on Shaheed Path from 10 am to 10 pm. In such a situation, passengers have been advised to adopt alternative routes. Separate parking and entry routes have also been determined for spectators going to Ekana Stadium.
