Kaushambi. The police administration has tightened the security arrangements in Kaushambi in view of the Kanwar Yatra along with Shravan Monday and Shivratri in the district. Police and administrative officials came out on the streets on Sunday night to ensure the safety of devotees, smooth movement of Kanwariyas and to maintain law and order. The officials visited the Kanwar Yatra routes, major intersections, sensitive places, border points and diversion points and checked the security and traffic arrangements. The policemen deployed on duty were checked and they were instructed to perform their duties with full alertness and diligence.
CO-SDM took charge in Manjhanpur
Circle Officer Manjhanpur Saurabh Samant and Sub-District Magistrate Manjhanpur inspected various routes for the Kanwar Yatra at night. Taking stock of security arrangements on major routes and sensitive points, the officials provided necessary instructions to the police force deployed on the spot. Special emphasis was placed on crowd control, the safety of devotees, and maintaining smooth traffic.
Traffic police monitoring from Rohi to Sakadha
Traffic Circle Officer Santosh Kumar Singh conducted night inspections of police personnel deployed for Shravan Monday/Shivratri duty at important locations, including Rohi, Muratganj, and Sakadha Tiraha. Briefing the police, he instructed them to pay special attention to the safe movement of pilgrims and other devotees. He also instructed them to ensure no disruptions to traffic and to take immediate action in case of emergencies.
A close watch is kept on the Kanwar route from the border in Chail.
Chail Circle Officer Shivank Singh and Chail Sub-District Magistrate Prerna Gautam also visited various Kanwar Yatra routes in the Chail Circle at night. Police personnel deployed for Kanwar Yatra duty were checked at Koilha Border in the Sandipanghat Police Station area, Makhuppur in the Pipri Police Station area, and Beniram Katra in the Sarai Akil Police Station area.
Officials instructed the police force to perform their duties with full alertness and to keep a special eye on the safety of devotees, traffic arrangements, and law and order. They were also instructed to immediately respond to any emergencies and take effective action.
The ASP personally inspected the security arrangements at night.
Additional Superintendent of Police Amita Singh also visited various important locations in the district at night to review security and traffic arrangements. She inspected the police force deployed on major roads, intersections, diversion points, and areas with high levels of pilgrim traffic. She inquired about the arrangements from the police officers and instructed them to perform their duties with utmost vigilance.
Adequate police force will also be deployed around the Shiva temples.
In view of Shravan Monday, adequate police force has been deployed around the district’s major Shiva temples and religious sites. Kanwar Yatra routes and major intersections are being continuously monitored. Arrangements have been made for the safe and smooth movement of devotees by deploying traffic police at diversion points.
