Friday evening witnessed a wonderful and supernatural sight at the famous Parmarth Niketan Ghat of Rishikesh. When the entire atmosphere lit up with the echo of Vedic mantras, blowing of conch shells and the light of hundreds of lamps, every person present there seemed drenched in the juice of devotion. The occasion was the grand aarti of Mother Ganga, in which Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin participated. After reaching Parmarth Niketan, both the leaders not only duly worshiped Mother Ganga but also prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the country and the state.

In fact, a unique confluence of spirituality and eternal culture was seen on this holy land of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Dhami and BJP President Nitin Nabin prayed to Mother Ganga for good health of all the countrymen and world peace. During this time, the enthusiasm of the devotees from India and abroad and the local people present at the ghat was palpable. The whole atmosphere echoed with the chants of Har Har Gange and Jai Maa Gange.

Ganga is not just a river, it is our living stream: Nitin Nabin

After Ganga Aarti, BJP National President Nitin Nabin looked emotional while addressing the saints and devotees present there. He said that coming to the holy banks of Mother Ganga always gives a spiritual and spiritual solace. Nitin Nabin emphasized that Ganga cannot be seen through the prism of just one river. In fact, Ganga is the living stream of Indian culture, our unwavering faith and eternal tradition, which has worked to irrigate the spiritual consciousness of India for centuries.

Paying tribute to the great saint tradition of India, Nitin Nabin said that whenever the country has faced any social, cultural or ideological crisis, our sages and saints have guided the society with their penance and knowledge. He further said that a land like Uttarakhand is the soul of our eternal culture and preserving this great heritage is a moral responsibility towards our future generations.

Swami Chidanand Muni praised PM Modi and CM Dhami

During this grand event, Parmarth Niketan chief Swami Chidanand Saraswati (Muni) warmly welcomed Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and BJP National President Nitin Nabin. Swami Chidanand Muni in his address gave the message of environmental protection and keeping the Ganga clean. Praising the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that today India is touching new heights on the global stage. Along with this, he patted the back of the work of Chief Minister Dhami and described Uttarakhand as the holy land of divinity, restraint and confluence.

It is being told that in this grand Ganga Aarti, many big faces of religion and politics were seen together on one stage. The program received blessings from top saints like Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avadheshanand Giri Maharaj of Juna Akhara, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri of Niranjan Akhara and Mahant Ravindra Puri, President of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad.

Talking about the leaders, many senior officials of the government and administration including Garhwal MP Anil Baluni, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt, Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat and local MLA Renu Bisht also witnessed this supernatural moment. Apart from these, a large number of local people and foreign tourists also reached Parmarth Niketan to be a part of this spiritual evening.

As the evening approached, the waves of Ganga bathed in the light of lamps and the company of saints left an indelible impression in everyone’s heart. At the end of the Aarti, everyone raised their hands and took a pledge for the welfare of the world.
