Digital Desk, Mumbai. The country’s stock market closed with gains on the first day of the trading week (21 September 2026, Monday). During this period, both the major Indian equity indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty remained in the green. The 30-share Sensex of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) closed at 74,858.99 with a rise of 564.03 points or 0.76 percent.
At the same time, Nifty, a sensitive index based on 50 shares of National Stock Exchange (NSE), closed at the level of 23,414.30 with a gain of 67.90 points or 0.29 percent.
