Serious allegations against Pakistani security forces in PoK, JAAC claims 31 civilians killed in 48 hours

New Delhi: The situation remains tense in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK). Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) has claimed that despite the action of Pakistan’s security agencies, the movement is not going to stop. The organization alleges that 31 civilians have died in the action of security forces in the last 48 hours. However, these claims have not been independently verified and there has been no detailed official response from the Government of Pakistan.

Announcement to continue the movement

Senior JAAC leader Sardar Omar Nazir Kashmiri alleged that force is being continuously used against the protesters. He says that the movement will continue until the demands of the people are met. He claimed that the security agencies are trying to suppress the protests, but the protesters are not ready to back down.

At the same time, another leader of the organization, Sardar Aman Kashmiri, said that the movement will continue till Muzaffarabad. He said that no matter how many difficulties come, people will continue to fight for their rights.

Tension increased due to Mirpur incident

According to local media reports, an incident of firing came to light during namaz in Bilal Mosque of Mirpur. The report claimed that in this incident, Maulana Inayatullah died due to a bullet in his head. However, this incident also could not be independently confirmed.

JAAC says that after the recent incidents, resentment among the people against the Pakistan government and security forces has increased further. The organization alleges that force is being used to intimidate the protesters.

Questions raised on media also

Pakistani journalist Shahzad Iqbal has also raised questions on the attitude of the government. He says that the media is not being allowed to do independent reporting of the protests taking place in PoK. He alleged that journalists were facing difficulties in reaching the incidents.

He also raised the question that if the protesters were acting on external gestures as per the government’s claims, then why were most of their demands accepted. At present, different claims are coming out regarding the situation in PoK.
