Nowadays people prefer healthy and home made snacks. These kebabs made of semolina and gram flour are not only excellent in taste, but are also light and easy to digest. You can serve these with evening tea or as a party starter. Let us know its easy recipe.
- 1 cup semolina
- 1/2 cup gram flour
- 1 boiled potato (mashed)
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 1-2 green chillies (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp ginger (grated)
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt (as per taste)
- Green Coriander (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp curd
- Oil (for frying or baking)
How to make gram flour sooji kebab
Delicious gram flour and semolina kebabs are very much liked. To prepare these, first add semolina, gram flour and curd in a bowl and mix well. Prepare a thick batter by adding some water to it and leave it for 10 minutes, so that the semolina swells.
After this, add mashed potatoes, onion, green chillies, ginger and all the spices and mix well. Now shape the prepared mixture into small kebabs. You can make them in round or tikki shape. Keep in mind that the mixture should not be too loose, otherwise it may be difficult to make kebabs.
Heat a tawa or pan and add some oil to it. Now fry the kebab on medium flame until it becomes golden brown and crispy on both sides. If you want, you can deep fry it, but baking it on a pan is a healthier option.
Serve hot semolina-besan kebab with green chutney or tomato sauce. Sprinkle some chaat masala on top, this will enhance its taste even more.
