Sex racket busted in Paharganj, Delhi, one accused arrested; 4 women rescued
Police has busted a sex racket running in Saran Building located on Qutub Road in Paharganj area of Delhi. During the action, the police arrested a person who is accused of operating a racket. Meanwhile, 4 women have been rescued safely from the spot. This action was taken by the joint team of Central District Unit of Delhi Police and Nabi Karim Police Station. Delhi Police conducted a raid on the basis of secret information, after which this illegal activity came to light. During the raid, indications of objectionable activities were found from the spot, after which the accused was taken into custody and further legal action has been initiated.
Delhi’s Central District DCP Rohit Rajbir Singh said that at around 7:30 pm on June 11, 2026, an informer informed the SHO of Nabi Karim police station about a sex racket allegedly running from a building located on Qutub Road in Paharganj area. Taking immediate action, the SHO formed a police raiding team and directed to take appropriate legal action. Sub-Inspector Harsh, Lady SI Shruti, Head Constable Sunil Adhana, Head Constable Vikas, Constable Dhansi, Constable Feru, Lady Constable Nishu were included in the team.
Police team took action with fake customer trick
To verify the information given by the informer, the police team sent Constable Feru to the building by posing as a fake customer. After confirming the information, the police conducted a raid and arrested 29-year-old Shahrukh, who was involved in the alleged sex racket. Shahrukh is a resident of Laxmi Nagar, Delhi. Police also safely rescued four women from the spot and have initiated legal action against the accused. The investigation into the case is ongoing and police are trying to find out whether other people were also involved in the racket or not.
FIR registered against building owner also
Police have started legal action by registering separate FIRs against the building owner and the main accused. According to the police, a separate FIR has also been registered against 58-year-old building owner Harikishan alias Raju Champion, resident of Dwarka. At the same time, a case has been registered against the main accused 29-year-old Shahrukh at Nabi Karim police station under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). During the raid, police rescued four women safely from the building. The age of one of them is stated to be 20 years, the second to be 25 years, the third to be 31 years and the fourth to be 34 years. Everyone has been sent to a safe place. Police have also seized important evidence related to the case from the spot. Officials say the entire network is being investigated and efforts are underway to identify other people involved.
Police is investigating Shahrukh’s criminal record
Delhi Police has started interrogating the accused Shahrukh, who was caught in Paharganj area, about the alleged sex racket running and other people involved in it. The police are also investigating his previous criminal activities. Officials said the investigation is being carried out intensively to establish all the necessary facts along with unearthing the entire racket and identifying others involved.
