FD Investment 2026: These two banks increased the interest rates of Fixed Deposit, now you will get returns up to 8.30%

Business Desk – FD Investment 2026: If you are planning to invest in Fixed Deposit (FD), then there is good news for you. Two small finance banks of the country have increased their FD interest rates. These include Unity Small Finance Bank and AU Small Finance Bank.

After the implementation of the new rates, investors will get a chance to get higher returns than before. The special thing is that senior citizens are being given the benefit of more interest in these schemes.

Unity Small Finance Bank is giving interest up to 8.30%

Unity Small Finance Bank has implemented its new FD rates from June 11, 2026. On the bank’s 501 day special FD scheme, interest of 7.80% is being given to general investors and 8.30% to senior citizens.

Apart from this, 6.50% interest is available on 1 year FD, 6.75% interest on 2 and 3 year FD and 6% interest on 5 year FD. The bank has also increased the interest rates on its savings accounts, where 7% interest is being given on balance more than Rs 10 lakh and 6% interest is being given on the amount between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.

AU Small Finance Bank also increased FD Return

Giving relief to investors, AU Small Finance Bank has also increased the interest rate on 30 month FD. The bank has increased the interest on FD of this period from 7.25% to 7.40% for general customers, while senior citizens will now get interest up to 7.90%.

The new rates have come into effect from June 10, 2026. Apart from this, the bank is offering 6.35% interest on 1 year FD, 7% on 2 years, 7.40% on 3 years and 6.75% on 5 years FD.

Compare before investing in FD

Experts believe that before investing in FD, one must compare the interest rates, investment period, premature withdrawal rules and reliability of the bank of different banks. After the recent increase in interest rates, FDs of small finance banks can become an attractive option for those investors who are looking for better returns along with safe investment.
