New Delhi: Indian women cricketers have benefited from their excellent performance in the Asian Games 2026 in the latest ICC Women's T20I Player Rankings. Shafali Verma has jumped two places to fourth place in the batsmen's rankings, while India's Sri Charani and Deepti Sharma remain at the first and second positions in the bowlers' list. According to ICC, this update has been issued keeping in mind the performance till Monday.
Shefali performed brilliantly with the bat in the Asian Games. He scored an unbeaten century in the semi-final against Bangladesh and after this performance he got a big advantage in the ranking. According to ICC this was his first T20I century. Earlier, he had also scored unbeaten 40 runs against Japan.
Shri Charani and Deepti top-2 bowlers
Indian players continue to dominate the ranking of bowlers. Shri Charani remains at number-1 with 799 rating points, while Deepti Sharma is at second place, 70 points behind her.
Other bowlers of the Indian team have also gained in the ranking. Kranti Gaur has climbed 15 places to 57th position, while Nandini Sharma has jumped 22 places to 72nd position. Both have achieved career-best rating points after their performances in the Asian Games. Kranti has 461 and Nandini has 432 rating points.
Pakistani players also benefit in ranking
Pakistani players have also made good progress in the latest rankings. Shawal Zulfikar has climbed 16 places to reach number 29. He scored 25 runs in the quarter-finals and 54 runs in the semi-finals of the Asian Games. With this his rating points have become a career best 558.
Whereas Ayesha Zafar has climbed 31 places to reach 40th position. He played an inning of 71 runs against Sri Lanka. His rating points have also become a career best 489. She has also gained nine places in the all-rounder rankings and has reached 30th position.
Pakistan captain Fatima Sana has climbed five places to reach 24th position. On the other hand, Thailand's Onicha Kamchomphu has moved up six places to reach joint 63rd position. He took three wickets against Pakistan.
South African players also got benefit
The impact of South Africa's 5-0 T20I series against Zimbabwe was also visible in the rankings. Anneke Bosch, the highest run scorer in the series, has moved up eight places to 46th position. He scored 214 runs in five matches and was named Player of the Series.
Young South African player Miane Smit has made a big jump of 63 places and has reached joint 53rd position. He scored a century in the fourth match of the series and this is the best ranking of his career.
Zimbabwe's Nyasha Gwanzura has also made big gains in the bowling rankings. She has climbed 28 places to reach number 87 and has been successful in making it to the top-100 for the first time.
