Shah Rukh Khan surprised fans with a fun #AskSRK session on Tuesday, answering questions about his much-awaited film King, its release clash with Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three, the trailer, action sequences, injuries during the shoot and much more.
During the interaction, a fan asked Shah Rukh whether King would get “sandwiched” between the two big Hollywood releases and if the film’s release date would be changed. In his trademark witty style, the actor replied, “We’re the centre ki tasty tikki,” making it clear that he is not worried about the Hollywood competition.

Another fan asked him what he plans to do after King. Shah Rukh responded, “Pata nahi. Abhi toh ‘King Akela Kaafi hai’,” giving fans another playful glimpse into his confidence about the film.
The actor also addressed the constant questions about the King trailer. When a fan asked why he was making them wait so long, Shah Rukh said, “Ab picture hi dekho na! Tarsa nahi raha hoon, achhi wali bana raha hoon… ki dil ko tasalli mile. Sab aayega… before 24th Dec.”
He also revealed that music work on the film is underway and said he still had to give finishing touches to music being worked on by Arijit Singh.
Talking about the action in King, Shah Rukh said the sequences will be “very big” and credited director Siddharth Anand for working hard on them. However, he added that he hopes audiences also connect with the film’s emotions and comedy.
The actor also opened up about the difficulties he faced while shooting the film. Responding to a fan who asked about the toughest part of making King, Shah Rukh revealed that he suffered some injuries during the shoot, because of which filming had to be stopped and restarted several times.
“But now whatever was broken is fixed, and almost all the work is done. So now all is well,” he said, assuring fans that he has recovered.
Shah Rukh also had a humorous response when asked who calls the shots during the action sequences. He joked that he is usually hanging from wires in a harness and that only the director gets to call the shots, adding that Siddharth Anand shouts so loudly that nobody else can be heard.
The superstar also reacted to a fan asking whether his son AbRam would watch Avengers: Doomsday or King first. Shah Rukh’s cheeky response was, “Pehle toh baap hi aayega beta,” referring to himself as the father who would arrive first.
When asked about the trailer once again, Shah Rukh maintained that fans would have to wait but assured them that everything would arrive before the film’s release. King is scheduled to hit theatres on December 24, 2026.
The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, stars Shah Rukh Khan alongside Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat and others. It is backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.
With King set to arrive during the Christmas season alongside major Hollywood releases, Shah Rukh’s latest interaction has only added to the excitement surrounding the action entertainer.
