After making ‘match fixing’ and cheating claims against Traitors India season 2 co-contestant, Shahneel Gill has come forward defending the makers and creators of the Amazon Prime Video reality game show.
Shahneel Gill and Krystle D’Souza raised eyebrows with claims that a contestant on The Traitors Season 2 may have had access to inside information.
Despite not naming the contestant and who was involved, it sparked a major controversy online with fans speculating and sharing their own theories.
The allegations remain unverified, with no clear indication yet as to whether the contestants’ comments come from a genuine controversy or are intended to generate publicity for the show.
However, Shahneel has now shared an Instagram story on August 24, clarifying that the makers and creators of the show are not at fault.
“Guys I just want to clarify that this is not the fault of the creators, makers, backend teams or the platform. None of them had anything to do with this,” she emphasized.
“It’s like you can simply put every safeguard in place but you can’t make those choices for someone else,” she went on the explain. “You can’t control the choices they make when they’re part of the game.”
Continuing, “If anyone should be held accountable or responsible, it should be the person who chose to compromise the integrity of the game. The people behind the scenes can create the rules, the systems, but ultimately they have to trust the people who are playing to uphold those rules and system. The responsibility lies with the individual and their own ethics to play this game with honesty and with integrity.
Traitors India season 2 released on Prime Video on August 13. Fans can watch episode every Thursday.
