Liliana Perez Ocampo of Colombia felt the tremors while at home on Monday afternoon. The children of the house were in school. The son was at home. The worst situation is two cities – Pereira and Cali city. Rescuers are searching for life in the rubble all day and night. Still don't know the extent of the damage. The situation is worse in remote areas. Even the first aid has not been delivered there yet. One of the reasons for this is that severe tremors have broken roads and cut off communication. The small houses of the people of the Janjati group are all dusty. They spent almost a day under the open sky.

Pereira is the main coffee production center of the country. According to the administration sources, most of the deaths have come from here. Naturally, the coffee business suffered huge losses as the earthquake devastated the area. Right-wing president Abelardo de la Esprilla has just come to power in Colombia. Like the political circles, it is very difficult for him to deal with the damage done to the country by this earthquake.
