Share Market Update: Sensex falls by 300 points, Nifty below 24,100, know the condition of the market?
Business Desk – Share Market Update: Trading in the stock market started with a decline on Wednesday (July 22). In early trade, Sensex fell by more than 300 points and was seen trading at the level of 77,100. At the same time, Nifty slipped almost 100 points and reached the level of 24,100. Most pressure was seen on IT and banking stocks in the market.
Investors appeared cautious amid mixed signals from global markets. Although American markets closed with gains, Asian markets remained mixed. The buying and selling data of foreign and domestic institutional investors (FII-DII) is also playing an important role in deciding the direction of the market.

Market condition in early trading
On Wednesday morning, Sensex was trading at the level of 77,100 with a fall of more than 300 points. At the same time, Nifty also fell by about 100 points and reached around 24,100. During trading, maximum selling was seen in shares of IT and banking sectors.
Mixed business for Asian markets
Trading remained mixed in Asian markets. South Korea’s Kospi was trading at 7065 with a rise of 323 points or 4.69%. Japan’s Nikkei rose 1279 points or 1.93% to 67511. Whereas Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was seen trading at 24936 with a decline of 197 points or 0.72%.
US market closed with gains
On July 21, American stock markets closed strongly. Dow Jones closed at 52225, up 385 points or 0.74%. Nasdaq rose 329 points or 1.29% to 25837, while S&P 500 rose 66 points or 0.89% to close at 7509.
How was the investment of FII and DII?
According to the latest data from institutional investors, DII made a net sale of Rs 657 crore in the latest trading session. However, in the last 7 days they have made net purchases of Rs 4,660 crore and in the last 30 days they have made net purchases of Rs 41,438 crore. Whereas FII/FPI made net purchases of Rs 1,650 crore in the latest session. Despite this, foreign investors have made a net sale of Rs 4,053 crore in the last 7 days and Rs 9,366 crore in the last 30 days.
The market remained weak in the last trading session also
Earlier on July 21 also, the domestic stock market had closed with a decline. The Sensex fell 238 points and closed at 77,470. Whereas Nifty closed at the level of 24,188 with a fall of 51 points.
