Share Market Update: Sensex rises 70 points, slight rise in Nifty too, buying in IT and metal stocks

Share Market Update: Today i.e. Tuesday, May 26, the Sensex is trading at 76,550 with a rise of 70 points (0.09%). Nifty has also increased by 30 points (0.12%), it has reached the level of 24,060. There is maximum buying in IT and metal shares in today’s trading.

Mixed business was seen in Asian markets today. South Korea’s Kospi index closed at 8087, up 249 points and up 3.18%.

At the same time, Japan’s Nikkei index closed at 64898, which was in the red with a decline of 261 points or 0.40%. On the other hand, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index closed at 25725, up 0.52% with a gain of 119 points.

On the other hand, American markets closed strongly in the last session. Dow Jones closed at 50580, up 0.58% with a gain of 294 points. A slight rise was also seen in Nasdaq.

It closed at 26344 with a gain of 51 points or 0.19%. Whereas the S&P 500 index closed at the level of 7473, up 0.37% with a gain of 28 points. There was also a difference in the activities of foreign and domestic investors in the domestic market.

Foreign institutional investors (FII/FPI) bought shares worth Rs 822 crore in the market yesterday. However, in the last 7 days they have sold Rs 7,107 crore and in the last 30 days a net outflow of Rs 45,178 crore has been recorded.

Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) showed strength and bought Rs 3,857 crore yesterday. Total DII purchases in the last 7 days stood at Rs 14,321 crore and in the last 30 days stood at Rs 72,308 crore.
