Sharmila Tagore and Kangana Ranaut clash on Vande Mataram: BJP MP said on the statement of singing 2 paras of the national anthem – Get out of Hindu-Muslim thinking.

Kangana Ranaut Vs Sharmila Tagore On Vande Mataram Controversy: National Anthem 'Vande Mataram' But the political struggle continues. Even after it was passed by the Parliament and the law was made, the Congress passed a proposal to sing only two verses of it in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting. The war of words is going on between BJP and Congress. Now Sharmila Tagore and Kangana Ranaut have clashed over Vande Bharat. Veteran Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore of the 70-80s advocated singing only two paras of Vande Mataram. Regarding this, Kangana Ranaut targeted Sharmila Tagore and advised her to come out of Hindu-Muslim thinking.

In fact, Sharmila Tagore had suggested retaining only the first two verses of the national anthem, citing references to Hindu deities in the later verses. He argued that these verses might be difficult for people who believe in one God to accept.

Kangana Ranaut targeted Sharmila Tagore by sharing the video of her statement on her Instagram story. BJP MP wrote- I am happy that Sharmila ji talked about her objection regarding Vande Mataram. But as an artist, I am surprised how his thinking about art and poetry can be so small and artificial. Words in any poem or song are metaphors. The poet or artist uses all kinds of imagination and draws seemingly impossible parallels to create the desired effect.

Quoting Swami Vivekananda

Kangana expressed her views by quoting the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda. Kangana further wrote – Swami Vivekananda had said that I want such youth whose muscles are of iron, bones of steel and electricity running in their veins. He was not telling about the weather, but was invoking the youth power of the country. Please come out of this Hindu-Muslim thinking. Even if we believe in one God, doctors still call power as 'Shakti'. Let us all embrace each other as our own. I love you very much and I don't mind the hugs you always give me.

Kangana said- come out of Hindu-Muslim divide

The actress further wrote that 'Please come out of Hindu-Muslim thinking, even though we believe in the same God. I love you so much and would love to hug you tightly, just like you always do.

What is the whole matter?
Sharmila's comments come a day after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) decided to follow its 1937 resolution. Under this proposal, only the first two verses of the national anthem will be sung in Congress programs. A controversy also erupted during the Congress's Independence Day celebrations on August 15, when the BJP accused Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and party parliamentary chairperson Sonia Gandhi of talking during the singing of 'Vande Mataram'. BJP had demanded an apology, while Congress had called the incident a mere coincidence. The very next day, only two paras of the national anthem Vande Mataram were sung in the Goa Congress meeting. Mallikarjun Kharge was also present during this period. The next day, Congress passed the proposal of singing 2 paras in the working committee meeting. BJP is aggressive on Congress regarding this.
