The popular reality show 'MX Original Rise and Fall Season 2' hosted by former Indian cricketer and swashbuckling commentator Virender Sehwag has got its new 'Ultimate Ruler'. After weeks of checkmate, diplomacy and tower ups and downs, Shehzad Poonawala won the title of Season 2. Beating 15 celebrity contestants, Shehzad won the trophy along with prize money of Rs 35 lakh. Whereas, TV actress Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary was the first runner-up and Gautam Gulati was the second runner-up.

The show started with an electrifying stage performance by the Top 6 finalists and a re-union of old moments with ex-contestants. Famous comedian Harsh Gujral brightened the atmosphere with his witty style, while the presence of the finalists' families made the finale more emotional.
The course of the game soon changed in the finale and Niharika Tiwari was eliminated due to lagging behind in the 'Fortune Floor Pyramid' challenge. After Niharika's exit, the show got its top 5 finalists.
After this the competition to reach the trophy became more intense. The tower lights changed to red, signaling elimination. Karan Patel, who is considered a strong mastermind in the show, and Swara Bhaskar, known for her outspokenness, were out of the race for the trophy. After both were eliminated, 'Rise and Fall 2' got its top 3 finalists, which included Shehzad Poonawala, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Gautam Gulati.
The biggest twist in the finale came when the fate of the top 3 finalists was to be decided through voting, but the match ended in a deadlock. After this, the eliminated contestants were given the responsibility of giving the final verdict. Based on the votes and decisions of the ex-contestants, Gautam Gulati became the second runner-up.
After this, the final match was between Shehzad Poonawala and Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary. Leaving Priyanka behind, Shehzad took the crown of 'Ultimate Ruler'. With this victory, apart from the shining trophy, he also got a huge cash prize of Rs 35 lakh.
After the victory, Shehzad Poonawala expressed his happiness and said that winning 'Rise and Fall Season 2' is such a feeling for him, which he cannot express in words. He said that his journey from the heights of the tower to the uncertainties of the basement was not easy and he had to adapt at every turn.
Shahzad said that even though he sometimes had doubts in his mind, he always believed that he would be able to do it. He thanked the makers, Prime Video and Banijay Asia for this platform.
