Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) councilor Ramesh Mhatre arrested for assaulting doctor and staff in Thane hospital.

This incident took place on the evening of July 6, when the doctors of the hospital told the family of the newborn baby that the hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Fully loaded and advised to take the child to another hospital for better treatment.

It is being told that after this the family contacted councilor Ramesh Mhatre. It is alleged that he reached the hospital with his supporters and had an argument with the doctors and medical staff. The video of the incident quickly went viral on social media, in which incidents like pushing and shoving with a female doctor and hitting on the mobile phone are seen.

However, Ramesh Mhatre has denied the allegations of attacking the doctor. He also said that if the doctor apologized for his behavior, he would also consider expressing regret.

At present, the police have registered a case against six people including the councilor and started investigation. At the same time, after this incident, the debate regarding the security arrangements of doctors and health workers has once again intensified.
