The search for model and social media influencer Shraddha Dubey, who is absconding in connection with the suspicious death of millionaire businessman Shiva Sharma in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, has now reached the Nepal border. After Shraddha's luxury car was found abandoned near the Nepal border, the fear of her fleeing the country has deepened. In this case, the police is not only faced with the challenge of solving the mystery of Shiva's death, but also has to investigate Shraddha's contacts, alleged blackmailing, old extortion dispute and the white Audi that reached outside the apartment after the incident.
During interrogation of Shraddha's old acquaintance Rizwan, the police also received a claim related to dropping the two sisters to Rupaidiha near Nepal border. On the other hand, audio of conversation between Shiva and Shraddha, mobile chat and contacts of suspicious people are being investigated. Shiva Sharma died on October 9 after falling from the fourth floor of Awadh Green Apartment in Hazratganj area of Lucknow.
Since the incident, the search for Shraddha Dubey, her sister Rashmi Dubey and their associates is going on. On Wednesday, news of Shraddha's car being found abandoned near Nepal International Border came to light. After this, the investigating agencies intensified the search in the border areas. Police are investigating how the car reached there and who left it. Whether Shraddha and Rashmi went to Nepal through this route or after reaching the border the help of some other vehicle or person was taken, is still a matter of investigation. Finding the car near the border is being considered an important clue in the direction of absconding, but the mere recovery of the car does not prove that the two sisters have reached Nepal.

Rizwan claimed to drop both sisters to Rupaidiha
The name of Shraddha's old acquaintance Rizwan has also come up in the case. Rizwan claimed during interrogation that after receiving a call from the hospital, he had reached there in his Swift Dezire car. According to him, Shraddha and Rashmi sat in his car and he dropped both of them at Rupidha near Nepal border and returned. He also claimed that from there Shraddha had to move ahead with another man.
Now the police is investigating the veracity of this statement. Efforts are being made to find out who was the person who took the two sisters forward, whether he helped them cross the border and whether other people were also involved in the escape plan. The connection between Rizwan's statement and the car found near the border can be confirmed only after investigation. At present, interrogation cannot be considered equivalent to arrest or proof of allegations.

History sheeter Rishabh Rai and old case of extortion also discussed
In the case of Shiva Sharma's death, an old extortion dispute has also come under the ambit of investigation. In August 2025, a case of history-sheeter Rishabh Rai and his associates allegedly demanding extortion of Rs 1 lakh from Shiva's cafe came to light. There are reports of a complaint being lodged in Vibhutikhand police station in this regard and audio related to the threat emerging.
Police may investigate any possible connection between this old dispute and the current case. However, Rishabh Rai's name surfacing in the old extortion case does not in itself prove his involvement in Shiva's death. Official confirmation from the police and the results of the investigation are necessary to reach any conclusion regarding his role in the current case.
The white Audi near 'Secretariat' also raised questions
In the case of Shiva's death, the news of a white Audi car being seen in the CCTV footage of the apartment complex has also come to light. According to reports, the car reached the vicinity of the campus about 15 minutes after the incident and then left from there. It has also been said that the Secretariat pass is visible on the car. Many questions are being raised regarding this car.
Why did the car come there after the incident, who was in it and what was his relation with Shraddha or Shiva? Police are investigating these points. As of now, it is not clear from the publicly available information in whose name the car is registered, who was traveling in it or whether it has any connection with any official or political figure. Therefore, it would not be appropriate to decide the role of any person or department merely on the basis of visibility near the Secretariat.
Mention of 'Sanjay Sir' in chat and audio
Some audios related to the conversation between Shiva and Shraddha are also in discussion. In the conversation, it has been claimed that Shraddha has heard things like complaining to 'Sanjay Sir' and threatening to send Shiva to jail. The content of these audios is being viewed in the context of the investigation of the case.
No clear official information has been revealed yet about who 'Sanjay Sir' is, what is his position and whether he has any real connection with this case or not. Similarly, there have also been reports of some political contacts allegedly being mentioned in the chats, but the nature of those contacts and their connection with Shiva's death is yet to be established. The mere presence of a name in conversation is not in itself proof of involvement in a crime.
Mother made allegations of torture and blackmailing
Shiva's mother Ranjana Sharma has made serious allegations against Shraddha Dubey and people associated with her for harassing, threatening and blackmailing her son. The mother claims that Shiva was physically and mentally harassed. He has also said that there were injuries on the son's body and marks of being burnt by cigarette. There is news that a case of murder has been registered on the basis of the family's complaint. The police are investigating various evidences including the circumstances related to Shiva's death, postmortem report, CCTV footage and the conversation between the two. The allegations of the family are serious, but the final conclusion in the case will come only on the basis of investigation and judicial process.

Reward of Rs 25-25 thousand on three accused
Police have intensified the search to arrest the absconding accused. According to reports, a reward of Rs 25,000 each has been announced for information on Shraddha Dubey, her sister Rashmi Dubey and driver Tanveer Ali alias Danish. Several police teams have been deployed in search of the accused and possible hideouts are being raided.
Now answers to many questions are being sought in the investigation, how did Shraddha's car reach the Nepal border, what is the truth of the claim of dropping the two sisters at Rupaidiha, who came in the white Audi and whether the names that came up in Shiva-Shraddha's conversation have any connection with the case or not. Only after getting answers to these questions, it will be clear who were involved in the incidents related to Shiva Sharma's death and who helped in his escape.
