Shock to ‘Students’ Echo’ campaign, due to Bihar Congress controversy, Rahul Gandhi’s program will be held in Dehradun instead of Patna.

Knews Desk- Congress has intensified its strategy to corner the central government on issues related to students like NEET paper leak and resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. In this series, the student dialogue program ‘Chhatraon Ki Goonj’ of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi was started. However, due to the ongoing internal tussle in Bihar Congress, the proposed program in Patna has been postponed for the time being. Now this program will be organized in Dehradun instead of Patna.

According to party sources, Rahul Gandhi’s communication campaign with students is to be organized in different parts of the country. Through this campaign, Congress is preparing to raise issues related to students’ problems, alleged irregularities in competitive examinations and education system.

Program changed due to Rahul Gandhi’s foreign tour

According to the information, this program was initially scheduled to start from Prayagraj on July 10, but due to increased foreign tour of Rahul Gandhi, the program had to be postponed. It is being told that Rahul Gandhi will return to India on the morning of July 12, after which new dates have been fixed for further programs.

In this sequence, the student dialogue program proposed on July 15 in Patna, the capital of Bihar, has also been postponed. In view of the ongoing factionalism and organizational differences within the party, the Congress leadership decided to postpone the Patna program for the time being.

Factionalism became the reason in Bihar Congress

Sources say that the decision to postpone the Patna program was taken after an important meeting of Bihar Pradesh Congress. Bihar Congress in-charge, state president and many district level officials were present in this meeting. During the meeting, differences between different factions of the party came to the fore. In view of the increasing tensions and lack of mutual coordination in the organization, the top leadership considered it appropriate to take the program forward. The Congress leadership believes that an important campaign like Chhatra Samvad should not be launched in an environment where organizational disputes can affect the core spirit of the programme.

After postponing the Patna programme, Congress has now chosen Dehradun as the new venue. The party has started preparations to organize a student dialogue program there on July 17. Congress says that through this campaign students will be given a platform to express their views. The party plans to highlight the issues of NEET paper leak, transparency in the examination system and employment and education related to youth.

Kota program received positive response

According to Congress sources, the program organized in Kota under the student dialogue campaign had received good response. After this, the party is preparing to take this campaign to other major educational centers of the country.

The party is trying to maintain a positive image of this campaign among the students. For this reason, amid the organizational dispute in Bihar, it has been decided to postpone the Patna program and organize the event in Dehradun. At present, Congress is eyeing the Dehradun program to be held on July 17, where Rahul Gandhi can directly communicate with the students and present his views on the issues related to the education policies and examination system of the Central Government.
