Shooter Addu arrested after chasing him till Ajmer, two pistols, scooter and T-shirt worn at the time of the incident recovered

During the press conference at Shahdara District Police Headquarters, DCP Rajendra Prasad Meena said that under the leadership of ACP and Anand Vihar SHO Manish Kumar, the police team caught 22-year-old accused Addu, who was hiding in Ajmer after fleeing from Delhi after the incident. Police have recovered two pistols said to be used in the crime, TVS Ntorq Scooty, mobile phone, T-shirt worn at the time of the crime and other digital and forensic evidence from his possession.

Came out of cafe and was surrounded by bullets

On September 11, there was chaos near Karkardooma Community Center when two miscreants riding a scooter allegedly fired several rounds at people standing near an ice cream shop. After the firing, both the accused fled on the same scooter. In the attack, the officer, who is the event organizer, was hit by three bullets, while scrap businessman Irshad was hit by one bullet. A case was registered in Anand Vihar police station and investigation was started.

More than 350 cameras opened the way for escape

Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Shahdara District Police fielded special staff, police station Anand Vihar and several teams of ANTF. The police scanned the footage of more than 350 CCTV cameras of the incident spot and the possible escape route. Interrogation of witnesses, technical surveillance, investigation of movements of suspects and activation of local information system were carried out. By combining the footage of each camera, the police team reached the escape route of the accused and finally traced his location in Ajmer.

Police chase from Delhi to Ajmer

Investigation revealed that after the incident, the accused had left Delhi and hid in Ajmer, Rajasthan. After continuous technical monitoring and confirmation of local information, the police team raided Ajmer and arrested Addu resident of Wazirabad, Delhi.

The conspiracy was hatched using 'location' information!

During the investigation, the police also claimed to have uncovered the role of 28-year-old Afrin alias Chanda, resident of Krishna Nagar. According to police, Afrin had allegedly passed on the information about the victims' presence to the accused. His mobile phone has also been recovered, in which the police are said to have found useful evidence related to the case. According to the police, accused Adnan allegedly acted on this information and committed the crime along with Mujambil alias Sahil.

One month old rivalry became the reason for the shooting?

According to police investigation, about a month ago there was a dispute between injured Irshad's friend Sameer and the accused party. During that time there were alleged threats and abuses between the two parties. On the day of the incident, the accused allegedly saw a video on Snapchat, from which he got information about the presence of Sameer and Irshad at Hyper Club. After this, he got their presence confirmed from his sources and after reaching Karkardooma with his companion on a scooter, he allegedly opened fire.

Search for remaining characters continues

The police is now searching for the absconding co-accused Mujambil alias Sahil. The role of the person who possibly provided the arms and the connections of other people involved in the case are also being investigated. Police say that continuous raids are being conducted to nab the remaining accused.
