Shreyas Iyer: Shreyas Iyer dominated the ICC rankings after scoring a century, jumped 18 places; Know current position

Iyer is India’s third highest ranked batsman. Ahead of him are Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma. Ishaan remains at number-1. He scored unbeaten 37 runs on 27 balls in the first T20 against West Indies. Abhishek remains at second position despite his innings of 21 runs in 10 balls.

In the ranking of T20 batsmen, between Ishan and Abhishek are Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan, England’s Harry Brook and Jos Buttler and South Africa’s Dewald Brevis. West Indies’ Sherfane Rutherford has also benefited from a brilliant innings. Rutherford, who scored 56 runs in 34 balls against India, has moved from 47th to 37th position.

There has been a big change in the ranking of bowlers. Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed has lost the number-1 crown and Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan has once again reached the top. This is the eighth time that Rashid has achieved the number-1 position in the rankings for T20 bowlers. He has spent more than twice the time in this position than any other bowler.

India’s Akshar Patel has also benefited a lot. Akshar, who took four wickets in two matches in the Asian Games and took 2/26 in the first T20 against West Indies, has moved up 16 places to seventh position. Nasum Ahmed of Bangladesh is at eighth place and Mehdi Hasan is at ninth place.

Shubman Gill has further strengthened his number-1 position in the ODI rankings. After his unbeaten inning of 223 runs in the second ODI against West Indies, his lead over Darryl Mitchell has increased to 47 rating points. Mitchell is at second and Virat Kohli is at third.

West Indies’ Shai Hope has moved up two places to sixth position after his match-winning innings of 162 runs. KL Rahul has jumped seven places to 10th position. Among bowlers, Jayden Seals has moved up 12 places to enter the top-10 for the first time and is now at number 10.
