Gujarat’s Gabru soldiers created a stir, Gill and Sai did wonders, crossed the figure of 600 runs in one IPL season

Most runs in an IPL Season by a Pair: IPL 2026 may have been important for Gujarat Titans in terms of team performance, but the biggest highlight of this season was the excellent batting of captain Shubhman Gill and young batsman Sai Sudarshan. Both players showed tremendous consistency throughout the tournament and scored more than 600 runs, a record that had never been made before in the 19-year history of the IPL.

Both the batsmen had scored more than 600 runs not only this season but also in the last season. With this, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan have become the first pair in IPL history to cross the 600+ run mark for the same franchise in two consecutive seasons.

In IPL, two batsmen of a team scoring more than 600 runs in a single season is always considered a big achievement. This list was started in 2013 by Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle of Royal Challengers Bangalore. After this, many famous couples achieved this feat, but no one was able to repeat it for two consecutive seasons.

Shubman and Sudarshan first achieved this feat in 2025 and then proved themselves different from all other pairs by scoring 600+ runs again in 2026. This is the reason why their partnership is now being counted among the most successful batting pairs in IPL history.

Both of them batted very well against Chennai also.

Even in the match against Chennai Super Kings Gujarat Titans The top order performed brilliantly. Batting first, the team scored a big score of 229 runs by losing 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and gave Chennai a target of 230 runs to win.

In this match, Sai Sudarshan once again batted brilliantly and scored 84 runs. Whereas Shubman Gill played an important inning of 64 runs. Both the batsmen gave a strong base to the team in the initial overs, which benefited the middle order.

Butler gave a stormy finish in the end

Jos Buttler showed aggressive style in the last overs of Gujarat’s innings. He played an important role in taking the score to 229 by scoring unbeaten 57 runs in just 27 balls. Thanks to his flamboyant innings, Gujarat set a very challenging target for Chennai.
