Smriti Mandhana: Indian women’s cricket team’s star opener Smriti Mandhana has created history by playing a brilliant half-century innings of 74 runs against Netherlands. This is Mandhana’s sixth time scoring 50+ in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, with which she has now become the first Indian player to do so in the history of the tournament. In this matter, she has left behind Mithali Raj and captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who have 50+ scores in their name 5-5 times.
Smriti Mandhana created history
Against Netherlands, Indian star opener played a stormy inning of 74 runs in 47 balls. His innings included 11 fours and 1 skyscraper six. With this half-century innings, Smriti has become the first Indian player to score 50+ 6 times in the Women’s T20 World Cup. Apart from this, this is Mandhana’s 36th 50+ score in T20 International.

She has now become the first batsman in the world to hit 600 fours in T20 International cricket (Men’s or Women’s). This 30-year-old batsman has hit 604 fours in T20 International by hitting 11 fours against Netherlands.

Shefali-Mandhana’s century partnership
After losing the toss and batting first, Indian opening pair Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma gave a great start to India by batting stormily and made a partnership of 115 runs in 70 balls for the first wicket. During this, Shefali was out after scoring 55 runs in 38 balls. Shefali’s innings included 10 fours.
